The Ethnic Council of the Provincial People's Council approved the draft reports to be submitted to the 20th Session of the 16th Provincial People's Council, term 2021

Comrade Dang Van Ky, Head of the Ethnic Committee of the Provincial People's Council chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were delegates who are members of the Provincial People's Council's Ethnic Committee; representatives of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

At the conference, the Ethnic Committee of the Provincial People's Council approved the draft reports of the Committee submitted to the 20th Session of the 16th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026.

The draft reports include: Report on the verification of the results of the implementation of socio -economic development targets in the first 6 months of the year, tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2024 (ethnic field); Report on the verification of the results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations before and after the 16th Session of the 16th People's Council (ethnic field); Report on the verification of the results of handling recommendations after supervision by the People's Council, the Standing Committee, People's Council committees, and People's Council delegation groups of the province in the first 6 months of 2023 (ethnic field).

Delegates contributed comments to the draft reports.

The delegates basically agreed with the content of the draft reports of the Ethnic Committee of the Provincial People's Council, and at the same time contributed comments to the draft reports. In particular, for the draft Report on the verification of the results of the implementation of socio-economic development targets in the first 6 months of the year, tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2024, the delegates proposed to add some contents such as: difficulties in disbursing capital for residential arrangement, slow progress of residential arrangement; difficulties in allocating capital for national target programs in some localities; the number of students going to vocational training tends to decrease; requesting the Provincial People's Committee to soon consider and approve the Project on developing community tourism associated with building new rural areas in the province until 2030; soon remove obstacles in site clearance for the project to upgrade the Sa Pa - Ta Phin - Ban Khoang road invested by the Department of Tourism; the problem of slow upgrading of degraded commune health stations; lack of human resources and equipment at some commune health stations...

Regarding the draft Report on the verification of the results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations before and after the 16th Session of the 16th People's Council (ethnic field) and the draft Report on the verification of the results of handling recommendations after supervision by the People's Council, the Standing Committee, People's Council committees, and People's Council delegation groups of the province in the first 6 months of 2023 (ethnic field), the delegates basically agreed with the contents.

As planned, the 20th session of the 16th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, will take place on July 4 - 5, 2024.
