On December 30, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee held a conference to review the internal affairs work of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee in 2023 and deploy directions and tasks for 2024.

In 2023, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has paid attention to leading and directing the full, serious and effective implementation of resolutions, notices, directives, conclusions, programs, plans and coordination regulations of the Central Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on security - internal affairs, anti-corruption, negativity and judicial reform. At the same time, it has strengthened leadership and direction in implementing inspection and supervision of internal affairs, anti-corruption, negativity and judicial reform.

Along with that, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee leads and directs the handling of outstanding, complicated, and urgent issues regarding security and order; complicated corruption and negative cases that attract public attention, and cases monitored and directed by the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Negative Cases and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee.

Under the leadership and direction of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the activities of the Ho Chi Minh City Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity and the Ho Chi Minh City Steering Committee for Judicial Reform are increasingly tight, disciplined and effective.

Investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of sentences have achieved many positive results; the development and implementation of programs and plans on corruption and negativity prevention are increasingly proactive, effective and suitable to the characteristics and situation of each locality and agency.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, assigned the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee to continue to coordinate well in performing the tasks of security - internal affairs, anti-corruption, negativity and judicial reform in 2024, especially the tasks of the standing agency of the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity and the Steering Committee for Judicial Reform.

The City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee needs to continue to coordinate well with functional agencies, create close ties, regularly and promptly advise the City Party Committee's Standing Committee and the City Party Committee's Standing Committee to effectively lead and direct the implementation of security - internal affairs, anti-corruption, negativity and judicial reform in the area.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nen requested that agencies in the city's internal affairs sector continue to perform well the political tasks of each sector, promote advantages, overcome limitations and shortcomings in 2023. In particular, it is necessary to strengthen the organization and apparatus, focus on training, fostering, improving the quality and efficiency of the work of cadres and civil servants.

The local Party Committee's internal affairs sector needs to continue to promote its leadership role in internal affairs agencies at the grassroots level, coordinate smoothly in performing professional tasks, and absolutely ensure security and order for people during the upcoming holidays.

The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee was proposed to receive a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister.

In 2023, the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee advised the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity of Ho Chi Minh City to focus on leading and directing the effective implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws on anti-corruption and negativity.

In addition, maintain the regularity of inter-judicial meetings to exchange information and reach consensus on solutions to complex cases; focus on reviewing and resolving pending and temporarily suspended cases.

State management in the fields of judicial support has been strengthened, proactively proposing many solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of state management in the fields of notarization, lawyers, and auctions.

With many positive results in internal affairs work, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee was proposed by the Central Internal Affairs Committee to receive a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister.
