Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity Deploys Key Tasks for the Fourth Quarter of 2023

On October 18, Comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity (hereinafter referred to as the Provincial Steering Committee) chaired a meeting to evaluate the Steering Committee's performance in the third quarter and deploy key directions and tasks for the fourth quarter of 2023.

Attending the meeting were comrade Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee who are members of the Provincial Steering Committee and leaders of relevant agencies and units.

After listening to the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee report on the situation and results of activities in the third quarter, the expected key contents of work on corruption prevention and control that need to be focused on by the Provincial Steering Committee in the fourth quarter, and the members of the Provincial Steering Committee discussing, giving comments, and clarifying further problems and arising issues; the Provincial Party Committee Secretary, Head of the Steering Committee assessed that the work on corruption prevention and control, especially the handling of cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee in the third quarter, generally had many positive changes, basically ensuring progress according to the set plan; contributing to raising awareness and sense of responsibility of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and the masses on the work of corruption prevention and control in the province. The activities of the Provincial Steering Committee have become increasingly in-depth and substantive, directing the implementation and timely organizing the implementation of conclusions and recommendations of competent central agencies on the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in the locality.

Regarding the key tasks of the fourth quarter, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial Steering Committee to focus on organizing the implementation and completion of tasks according to the 2023 work program: promoting innovation and improving the effectiveness of propaganda and education on corruption prevention and control; effectively building and implementing a culture of integrity, no corruption, and no negativity among cadres and party members, especially preventing and stopping the situation of shirking, avoiding, and being afraid of making mistakes among a number of cadres, party members, leaders and managers at all levels; advising the Provincial Party Standing Committee to issue a notice concluding the supervision of 2 years of implementing Resolution 08 of the Provincial Party Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in preventing and combating corruption and negativity until 2025 and the following years. He also requested Party committees at all levels to coordinate with functional agencies to focus on leading the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of inspection, investigation, prosecution and trial of serious and complicated corruption and negative cases that are of public concern in the locality; strengthen inspection and examination of sensitive areas that are prone to corruption and negative cases; direct the acceleration of investigation and handling of corruption and negative cases in the locality, especially cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee; strengthen administrative procedure reform, effectively implement digital transformation; further promote the role and responsibility of the People's Council, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations from the provincial to communal levels, promote the role of the press and the people in the fight against corruption and negative cases in the locality.
