Bamboo Airways reopens first regular international flight with Ho Chi Minh City - Bangkok route
Relaunched right before the peak season at the end of 2024, Bamboo Airways' regular Ho Chi Minh City - Bangkok route will provide another convenient and easy daily flight option for tourists from Vietnam and Thailand.

Flight number QH323, departing from Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) landed at 12:55 on November 26, 2024 at Don Mueang International Airport (Bangkok), marking Bamboo Airways' official return to the Thai sky. This is also Bamboo Airways' first regular international flight after a short period of focusing on domestic flights.
Mr. Phan Dinh Tue, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bamboo Airways, said that this is not only a meaningful return of Bamboo Airways to the Thai market, but also a promising start for the process of re-establishing a regular international flight network and affirming the airline's recovery efforts as well as its commitment to sustainable development.
“Bangkok in particular and Thailand in general are among the favorite destinations of Vietnamese and international tourists. Bamboo Airways has also operated flights connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Bangkok, achieving a high average occupancy rate, even up to 90% during the peak period of Tet 2023. This success is a testament to the love and trust of many customers for Bamboo Airways' Thai flights,” said Mr. Phan Dinh Tue.
According to the plan, Bamboo Airways operates the Ho Chi Minh City - Bangkok route with a frequency of 1 round trip/day, at the time slots of 11:15 - 12:55 (departing from Ho Chi Minh City) and 14:00 - 15:45 (departing from Bangkok).
For this return to Bangkok, Bamboo Airways has chosen a new destination, Don Mueang - Thailand's oldest international airport. 2024 is also the year Don Mueang Airport officially celebrates its 100th anniversary.
As one of the main airports in Thailand, Don Muang International Airport is the ideal “gateway” for tourists coming to the land of the Golden Temple, especially those who are coming to Thailand for the first time. Because if Suvarnabhumi International Airport impresses with its grand scale and the largest area in Southeast Asia, Dong Mueang Airport, with its more modest area, will help tourists who are still unfamiliar with Thailand easily find a place to do procedures and save time on immigration procedures.
On the other hand, located about 25 km from the city center, Don Mueang Airport allows passengers to easily travel to the center of Bangkok right after landing, with many means of transport such as trains, taxis or buses. At the same time, Don Mueang is also a very suitable choice for international visitors to connect to famous tourist destinations in Thailand such as Chiang Mai, Phuket...
The reason is that there are currently many domestic Thai airlines operating flights to this airport, helping passengers easily take connecting flights within Thailand at economical prices.
