On the afternoon of January 17, Major Nguyen Van Hoanh, Chief of Tan Lam Huong Commune Police (Thach Ha District, Ha Tinh), said that on the same morning, the unit invited Mr. Nguyen Van Su (50 years old, local resident) to the headquarters to write a self-criticism about driving a motorbike after drinking alcohol.
The commune police also asked Mr. Su Ky to commit not to re-offend and reminded and educated him to clearly understand his alcohol concentration violation.
According to Major Hoanh, Mr. Su has been a bricklayer for more than 10 years, has a wife and 2 children, and his family is in difficult circumstances.

Mr. Su is the person who appeared in the clip of him driving a motorbike after drinking alcohol, causing him to forget his way home, causing a stir in the online community.
Recounting the incident, Mr. Su said he was building a house for a household in the same Tan Lam Huong commune. On the evening of January 16, after finishing his shift, he was invited by the homeowner to stay for dinner and drinks.
After that, he drove his motorbike home alone, but lost his way and got lost in Ha Tinh city.
While passing Ham Nghi Street (Tran Phu Ward, Ha Tinh City), he was asked by the Traffic Police Team of Ha Tinh City Police to stop the car for an alcohol concentration test.
At the checkpoint, Colonel Nguyen Hong Phong - Director of Ha Tinh Provincial Police - was directly inspecting.
"The provincial police chief asked me and reminded me that if I drank alcohol, I should not drive. I also told him that I was a construction worker and that if I paid a large fine, I would not be able to pay it. After that, the provincial police chief asked me to call my wife to pick me up. Today, I have written a commitment to the police that from now on I will not participate in traffic after drinking alcohol," Mr. Su shared.

Earlier on the evening of January 16, a clip was circulated on Facebook recording the scene of a working group of the Ha Tinh City Police inspecting and talking with Mr. Su. Colonel Nguyen Hong Phong - Director of the Ha Tinh Provincial Police - saw that Mr. Su was gentle, honestly admitted his mistakes, and was in difficult circumstances, so he decided to have the construction worker call his relatives to come and pick him up.
