Audi Vietnam recalls high-voltage battery inspection on Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT vehicles

Việt NamViệt Nam16/10/2024

Customer safety and product reliability are top priorities for Audi, which is why a continuous quality monitoring program is conducted at AUDI AG. During the investigation, AUDI AG discovered that on some Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT vehicles produced during a specific period, the high-voltage battery modules in the vehicles needed to be inspected upon arrival at the factory for safety reasons.

For maximum safety for customers using the vehicle, AUDI AG requires all official importers to check the list of related vehicles and recall them for inspection. Audi Vietnam has decided to recall all Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT vehicles that may be affected, manufactured from January 9, 2020 to February 16, 2024, imported and officially distributed in the Vietnamese market for inspection and replacement if necessary. Audi Vietnam confirms that the number of vehicles sold in the Vietnamese market subject to the recall is 6. All of these vehicles will be inspected and repaired according to the announced recall program.

The above Audi models were still operating safely at the time of inspection.

Lien A International Joint Stock Company - official distributor   Audi Vietnam is currently contacting 06 affected Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT owners directly via the customer relationship management system, inviting them to carry out the technical recall at their convenient time. The inspection and repair time is 03 days for each vehicle and is completely free of charge.

In addition, all Audi customers can now directly check whether their vehicle is subject to recall on the website www.audi.vn by entering the vehicle's chassis number.

For non-genuine vehicles subject to recall as announced by AUDI AG, the recall responsibility basically belongs to the importers. However, Audi Vietnam is ready to support customers to contact AUDI AG and perform inspection and reinforcement when approved by AUDI AG (this process also applies to vehicles imported in the form of asset transfer or diplomatic vehicles).

The recall program will take place from October 15, 2024 to October 15, 2027 and has been registered with the Vietnam Register for coordination and supervision. Audi Vietnam regrets the inconvenience caused to customers and will try to complete the recall in the shortest time possible.
