The 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Dong Thap province, term 2024 - 2029, had 234 delegates, representing more than 73,500 members in the whole province attending.

In the past term, the Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union had many active activities. Notably, it contributed 1,700 volunteer days to build projects; over 1,000 creative startup ideas were applied in practice; examined and provided free medicine to 285,000 people, organized nearly 6,300 activities to participate in community digital transformation...

Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee - shared with the youth of the lotus land the perspective of the new term's action slogan "Solidarity - Creativity - Aspiration - Development".

In the new term, what do Dong Thap youth need to focus on to complete the goals, 3 breakthrough tasks, 12 key targets, 2 key projects, the movement "I love my Fatherland", the program "Building a strong Vietnam Youth Union", 1 project and 1 campaign...

"Creativity is the strength of young people. Dong Thap Youth Union must promote this strength in all fields; being a pioneer and becoming a great advantage is the key for us to move quickly and create many new values.

The province is still setting many high requirements for development, to build a new rural province, to become a pioneering and model province in ecological agriculture, modern countryside, civilized farmers; to become an attractive locality leading the region in startups," Mr. Phong emphasized.

Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam - Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union - said that in the next term, the Vietnam Youth Union of Dong Thap province needs to continue to focus on concretizing the movement "I love my Fatherland" associated with pride in cultural identity and the aspiration to build Dong Thap province.

"It is necessary to innovate the content and methods of operation in the Association's work, focusing on strongly applying digital transformation; promoting the mindset and skills of starting a business among young people, uniting and gathering young people and building a strong Association," said Mr. Lam.
