According to the bride Lu Thi Ngan, the wedding dress she wore was made by her sister-in-law; the motifs and patterns were more prominent than the traditional costumes. Ngan also said that the two families lived in Muong Khuong district but in different communes, 30km apart. Ngan and Tuan had been in love for 6 years, were close friends since high school and gradually fell in love without realizing it.

After graduating from high school in 2020, Ngan moved to Lao Cai city to attend university. During that time, Tuan worked as an assistant director at a company in Vinh Phuc. After a long-distance relationship, they decided to get married.
