Impressive photo exhibition at 'Vietnam - Laos Special Friendship Festival'

On the morning of November 11, in Hue City, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) coordinated with the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province to organize the opening ceremony of the program "Vietnam - Laos Special Friendship Festival 2023" to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Laos diplomatic relations (1962 - 2023) and the 46th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the two countries (1977 - 2023).

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam said that the relationship between Vietnam and Laos is a special, great and rare traditional relationship in the world, both in the historical period of national liberation struggle in the past as well as in the process of development and international integration today.

After more than 6 decades since the official establishment of diplomatic relations (September 5, 1962), the relationship between the two countries has achieved many important achievements in all fields, becoming a great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. In particular, cooperation in the field of information and communication, especially telecommunications, information technology and press - communication has achieved many proud results.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Lam shared that the program "Vietnam - Laos Special Friendship Festival 2023" is a meaningful event, contributing to promoting cooperation in the field of information and communication within the framework of the Intergovernmental Agreement on digital partnership, digital transformation of journalism, handling fake news, toxic information, improving digital skills for people, towards a safe and healthy digital environment, transforming from information to knowledge.

Within the framework of the program "Vietnam - Laos Special Friendship Festival 2023", a series of events will take place such as: Photo exhibition, Fair - Exhibition, Scientific seminar with the theme "Prospects of Vietnam - Laos press and media cooperation: Challenges and solutions" along with cultural and artistic exchange activities between the people of Vietnam and Laos.

The photo exhibition took place in the lobby of the Thua Thien Hue Province Cinema and Cultural Center with a total of 200 photos. The exhibition was divided into 4 topics including: History of 61 years of special friendship between Vietnam and Laos; Vietnam and Laos on the path of development; Outstanding achievements in Vietnam - Laos cooperation in the field of information and communication; Thua Thien Hue accompanying the country's development...
