In 2024, in addition to AEON Hue and AEON Ta Quang Buu (HCMC) which have just opened, AEON Vietnam is about to launch AEON Xuan Thuy Department Store and Supermarket (Hanoi) in the fourth quarter.
After more than 10 years in the Vietnamese market, AEON has continuously expanded its business operations, affirming its position in Vietnam - the second most important market of AEON Group, after Japan. With a total investment of more than 1.5 billion USD, AEON has been implementing a strategy to diversify retail models to suit the changing needs and behaviors of Vietnamese consumers, bringing convenient shopping experiences and enhancing customers' lifestyles.
In 2024, AEON Vietnam - the company in charge of the general retail sector of AEON Group in Vietnam, plans to open a total of 04 general merchandise stores and supermarkets (GMS & Supermarkets). Last September, AEON Ta Quang Buu officially opened, located at Parc Mall (District 8, Ho Chi Minh City). AEON Ta Quang Buu is a GMS & Supermarket with an area of nearly 7,000m2, 2 floors with a full range of products: from food, fashion to furniture.
Mr. Furusawa Yasuyuki, Member of the Board of Directors, AEON Group (Japan) in charge of the Vietnamese market, and General Director of AEON Vietnam shared: "AEON will accelerate network development and open new business locations, thereby increasing "touch points" with customers. Through expanding the business system, AEON not only contributes to the development of Vietnam's commercial infrastructure but also promotes the consumption of Vietnamese products through AEON's distribution and retail system".
Not stopping at AEON Ta Quang Buu, AEON plans to open AEON Xuan Thuy in Hanoi at the end of 2024. With a larger scale, continuing the model of a general department store and supermarket, AEON Xuan Thuy promises to become a new destination for the people of the capital.
In addition, according to Mr. Furusawa Yasuyuki, AEON Vietnam is also actively looking for suitable locations and cooperation opportunities with real estate developers in Vietnam to deploy retail models in partners' buildings and shopping centers.
