Presenting the decision to the 8 officers, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Deputy Minister of National Defense, believed that no matter what position they hold, the officers will fulfill their duties and be worthy peace messengers of Vietnam; contributing to spreading the good qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, as well as the image of the country and people of Vietnam.

The Deputy Minister requested officers to ensure absolute safety while performing tasks outside the area because the security situation is extremely complicated and unpredictable; and to confidently demonstrate their mettle and professional capacity in front of international colleagues.

During the process of performing tasks far from the Fatherland, officers need to uphold the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening, overcoming all difficulties, being proactive and creative; closely coordinate with comrades in the working group, maintain internal solidarity; uphold the spirit of mutual love and affection; regularly share and exchange experiences and information; support and help each other to successfully complete tasks.

Vietnam continues to send officers to perform peacekeeping missions in various positions, especially increasing the number of female officers participating. Relevant agencies and units maintain the effectiveness of resource creation and increase the selection of female personnel in response to the United Nations' gender equality strategy as well as Vietnam's commitment to increasing the proportion of female soldiers participating in peacekeeping operations.

To date, Vietnam has sent nearly 1,100 officers and staff to participate in United Nations peacekeeping activities at three missions and UN headquarters.

The Vietnam Peacekeeping Department is actively preparing to establish Engineering Team No. 4 and Level 2 Field Hospital No. 7 for deployment in 2025.

MINUSCA was established under a 2014 UN resolution to support the protection of civilians, safeguard the peace process and promote the implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement between the Government of the Central African Republic and various armed groups in February 2019.

The UNMISS mission was established in 2011 under United Nations Security Council Resolution 1996 with the mission of ensuring peace, building political stability and long-term economic development for South Sudan, as well as supporting the government to limit conflicts and protect civilians.
