(HNMO) - On June 15, the Central Youth Union delegation led by Central Youth Union Secretary and President of the Central Vietnam Student Association Nguyen Minh Triet had a working session to inspect the Youth Union work and youth and children's movements in the first 6 months of 2023 of the Hanoi Youth Union.

At the meeting, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union Chu Hong Minh said that with the theme "Year of digital transformation of the Youth Union's activities", the Hanoi Youth Union has quickly started to implement 5 key groups of tasks. In particular, one of the most important tasks is to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation at all levels of the Youth Union, apply information technology, and digital transformation. The Hanoi Youth Union leads the country in the number of inspections of studying and implementing the Resolution of the 12th National Youth Union Congress, with more than 148,000 members participating.

“The Youth Union chapters at all levels of the capital have utilized the positive aspects of social networks and applied digital transformation to innovate and improve the effectiveness of propaganda work. Currently, there are more than 1 million members participating in the community pages of 579 communes, wards and towns protecting the “green zone” on cyberspace to spread positive and useful information to the community,” the Secretary of the City Youth Union informed.

Comrade Chu Hong Minh added that the youth volunteer movement of the capital's youth in the first 6 months of the year also achieved many impressive results. Up to now, more than 505,000 union members and young people have participated in volunteer activities. The capital's Youth Union chapters have implemented 799 youth projects with a total value of nearly 19 billion VND. In particular, the exam support program is a highlight. In phase 1, the capital's youth supported nearly 100,000 candidates and their families with 223 teams and nearly 4,500 volunteers participating in traffic lane division, order management, and support for candidates and their families...

Concluding the working session, Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Minh Triet highly appreciated the results of the Youth Union's work and youth movement in the first 6 months of 2023 of the Hanoi Youth Union; at the same time, he requested that the Hanoi Youth Union always strive to achieve high results but must not be complacent, subjective and need to have solutions for more difficult problems.

Emphasizing that although the study of the Youth Union Congress Resolution has achieved good results, the quality has not been as expected, comrade Nguyen Minh Triet requested the youth force of the capital to urgently study and implement action programs, research and implement breakthrough tasks, major goals, programs, projects, and youth development strategies in parallel; diversify learning methods, have lively, eye-catching, easy-to-remember methods, create sympathy for youth union members, and demonstrate youthful strength on the political front.

In implementing the Summer Campaign, Comrade Nguyen Minh Triet requested that the Hanoi Youth Union be more professional, have programs and projects, ensure safety and effectiveness for the campaign and have special works by the capital's youth in implementing the campaign.
