77 businesses owe more than 160 billion VND in taxes

According to the Ha Nam Provincial Tax Department, by the end of April 2024, the whole province had 77 enterprises owing taxes and other revenues to the state budget with a total amount of more than 160 billion VND, of which 22 enterprises (taxpayers) had enforced but had not yet recovered more than 144 billion 592 million VND.

Enterprises with large tax debts include: Ha Hoa Tien University (tax code 0700262924) owes more than 50 billion VND; Ha Hoa Tien Joint Stock Company (tax code 0700222142) owes more than 26 billion VND;

Dai Duong Company Limited (tax code 0700219196) owes more than 18 billion VND; 820 Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company (tax code 0700100754) owes more than 12 billion VND; Khang Minh Quartz Stone Joint Stock Company (tax code 0700558174) owes more than 9 billion VND...

Or Trang An Cement Joint Stock Company owes 14.7 billion VND, Dong A Plastic Company Limited owes more than 5.5 billion VND... are also on the list of taxpayers who have taken enforcement measures but have not yet recovered their tax debt.

In addition, the list also publicly disclosed more than 55 enterprises belonging to the group of taxpayers that have ceased operations, have not completed procedures to terminate the validity of tax codes, are not operating at the registered address but still owe more than 20 billion 861 million VND.

Typically, 820 Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company owes more than 12.6 billion VND, Bac Viet Production and Trading Joint Stock Company owes more than 3.8 billion VND, Hung Thinh Steel Joint Stock Company owes more than 2.3 billion VND...

For tax debt cases, the General Department of Taxation has directed taxpayers with tax debt over 90 days or tax debt subject to enforcement, tax departments must immediately apply enforcement measures to recover tax debt to the state budget.

In case the enforcement decision expires and the taxpayer has not paid or has not paid the full amount of tax debt subject to enforcement to the state budget, it is necessary to promptly switch to applying appropriate enforcement measures in accordance with regulations.

The General Department of Taxation also requested the tax department to publicly disclose information of taxpayers with overdue tax debts in accordance with the law, especially focusing on taxpayers with large and long-term tax debts.

Faced with the increasing tax debt situation, in the coming time, the Ha Nam Provincial Tax Department has determined to focus on implementing a number of debt management solutions such as: Assigning debt collection targets to each unit; monitoring and urging units to collect debts in accordance with procedures and regulations. Strengthening the application of debt collection and tax debt enforcement measures in accordance with the law.

Continue to organize reviews and comparisons to accurately determine the tax debt of each taxpayer to urge and resolutely apply tax enforcement measures to recover outstanding debts and reduce tax debts.

At the same time, the Tax sector improves the quality of propaganda and dissemination of tax laws and policies; regularly organizes dialogues with businesses and taxpayers to listen to their thoughts and aspirations, and receive feedback from organizations and individuals.

Thereby, promptly sharing and removing difficulties and obstacles, creating favorable conditions for taxpayers to implement tax policies and laws, contributing to maintaining and expanding production and business activities.
