300 dignitaries and monks in Hai Duong listen to dissemination of religious laws

Comrade Nguyen Tien Trong, Deputy Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, delivered the opening speech at the conference.

On the morning of August 29, the Hai Duong Department of Home Affairs coordinated with the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (Ministry of Home Affairs) to organize a conference to disseminate laws on beliefs and religions to religious dignitaries, officials, monks and nuns, representatives and management boards of a number of religious establishments in the province.

More than 300 delegates, including religious dignitaries, religious officials, representatives, and management boards of some religious establishments in the province, participated in the conference to disseminate laws on beliefs and religions.

During the 1-day event, more than 300 delegates will hear information about the following contents: Overview of the situation of beliefs and religions in Vietnam and basic contents of the viewpoints and policies of the Vietnamese State on beliefs and religions; basic contents of the Law on Beliefs and Religions; new points of Decree No. 95/ND-2023/ND-CP dated December 29, 2023 of the Government detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Beliefs and Religions, which has just been issued by the Government to replace Decree No. 162/2017/ND-CP dated December 30, 2017.

Delegates will also discuss and have their opinions answered regarding a number of provisions of laws, decrees and administrative procedures related to beliefs and religions; and issues in the process of religious activities in the locality.
