How are the 3 'super projects' occupying the roadway, scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2024, doing?

TPO - According to the request of Hanoi city and the commitment of investors, in the second quarter of 2024, 3 "super" construction projects occupying the road will be put into operation, including: Au Co - Nhat Tan, Nhon Metro - Hanoi Railway Station and Yen Xa wastewater treatment system project. Tien Phong updates the status of these projects.

With the project to renovate and expand the 3.7 km long Au Co - Nhat Tan road, the project has expanded and basically completed the road surface.

From a road surface only wider than one lane on each side, the project was expanded by the investor, the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, and contractors to 3 lanes on each side (equivalent to a width of 26.5m to 31m).

The project has 4 construction sections, of which the section from Thang Loi Hotel to the intersection with Xuan Dieu Street was put into use on April 30; the sections from Xuan Dieu intersection to alley 124 Au Co, from alley 124 Au Co to Lac Long Quan, from Lac Long Quan to Nhat Tan Bridge are under construction and are planned to be opened to traffic before June 30.

After 14 years of construction, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway project is expected to put into commercial operation the elevated section from Nhon to Cau Giay (8.5 km long) in the second quarter of 2024.

Currently, the construction of the elevated section is 100% complete, and 10 passenger trains of the project have completed their test runs. In mid-June, the Vietnam Register granted the train a license to operate commercially.

With a capacity of more than 1,100 passengers/trip/group, when the project is put into operation, it will help increase the transport capacity of Hanoi's public passenger transport system in the western region by 50% of demand.

The Yen Xa wastewater treatment system project has been under construction since 2019 with 4 bidding packages, and is planned to be tested in the second quarter of 2024.

The project is invested by the Hanoi Technical Infrastructure and Agricultural Construction Project Management Board with a budget of over VND 16,200 billion. The project aims to revive a number of rivers, including the To Lich River, and treat urban wastewater in Hanoi to reach 50-55% (currently over 20%).

The most important package is package number 1 - construction of Yen Xa wastewater treatment plant, which has been basically completed and put into trial operation in June.

The project is urgently completing construction items of manholes and underground sewers to collect water on the road to restore infrastructure and reduce traffic congestion.
