The Golf Tournament for Traffic Safety is a traditional tournament that has been held over the years. In addition to purely sporting activities, the tournament focuses on sharing and volunteering.
This year, there are 220 golfers divided into 3 groups, competing in 18-hole stroke play, according to R&A rules and the course's own rules recorded on the scorecard or the course's notice board. Points are calculated according to the daily HDC (System 36). The total prize value is estimated at nearly 3 billion VND. The HIO prizes prepared by the organizers include cars, trips to Japan and cash.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nga, Editor-in-Chief of Giao Thong Newspaper, said that following the success of the 4-season Fundraising Golf Tournament for the Traffic Safety Program, Giao Thong Newspaper will organize the 5th Tournament in 2024 at Hoang Gia Golf Course, Ninh Binh. All sponsorship and support money from organizations, individuals, businesses and golfers after deducting expenses will be transferred by the Organizing Committee to the Traffic Safety Program.
" The organizing committee tries to save the most on organization costs to have more funds for charity activities, putting charity goals first ," Ms. Nga emphasized.
Mr. Tran Huu Minh, Chief of Office of the National Traffic Safety Committee, said that this is also a playground to connect the community, thereby giving due attention to volunteer activities, helping the community better, including supporting families of traffic accident victims.
This year, the organizers invited a number of guests who are famous amateur and professional athletes, the Vietnam Golf Association, etc. Thereby helping to spread the brand of the tournament and increase the motivation for golfers to compete. In addition, athletes participating in the tournament do not have to pay any fees. Each athlete will contribute to charity activities depending on their ability.
