On the morning of May 14, at Nghe An Folk Song Theater, the Department of Culture and Sports held the opening ceremony of the 2023 Sen Village Singing Festival.
The opening ceremony was attended by members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Thi My Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports. Also attending were representatives of leaders of a number of departments, agencies, districts, cities and towns.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Tran Thi My Hanh said: The Sen Village Singing Festival in Nghe An province within the framework of the Sen Village Festival is held annually as a traditional mass art competition that has been around for more than 40 years and has become a major festival, a unique cultural activity that both demonstrates artistry and carries a respectful spiritual nuance in the cultural and spiritual life of the people of Nghe An.

From late March to early May 2023, across the province, from the plains to the mountains, the local cultural sector organized the Sen Village Singing Festival at the grassroots level.
Festivals of districts, cities and towns are organized in many forms, diverse in types, attracting a large number of actors to perform and audiences to watch and cheer, creating a strong spread.
The 2023 Provincial Lotus Village Singing Festival will feature 21 mass art troupes with more than 600 actors, artists, and musicians from districts, cities, and towns. The works are elaborately staged, promising to bring to the Festival truly high-quality singing, dancing, and music programs.

Through the Sen Village Singing Festival at all levels, we continue to foster and strongly develop cultural and artistic movements and artistic creativity; contribute to preserving and promoting tangible and intangible cultural values, improving the spiritual life of the people, and continuing to work towards the goal of building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.

At the same time, this is also an opportunity for Nghe An to promote relics, scenic spots, and tourist destinations in President Ho Chi Minh's homeland, so that domestic and foreign tourists can experience the beautiful and majestic natural landscape and understand more about the culture and people of Nghe An.
