The list of these Chinese traders has been sent by the Bac Giang Provincial Police to the Immigration Department (Ministry of Public Security) to carry out procedures for granting entry permits. It is expected that by the end of May, Chinese traders will begin entering Bac Giang to participate in the consumption of early-ripening lychees.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Giang, in 2023, the whole province will have 29,700 hectares of lychee; of which, the harvested area is estimated to yield over 180,000 tons, with the expected harvest time from May 20 to July 30.

This year, there will be a new innovation in trade promotion and consumption of lychee. Instead of organizing many promotional and trade promotion activities in many provinces and cities, the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Giang will switch to directly connecting gardeners and cooperatives with businesses to sign contracts to purchase and consume lychee.

To date, the Bac Giang Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion has signed 34 cooperation agreements with agricultural wholesale markets, e-commerce trading floors, supermarket chains, businesses... to consume about 110,000 tons of lychee.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Giang province, after reviewing, the whole province has 110 growing area codes with 16,034 hectares and 215 facilities qualified to pack fresh lychee for export to the Chinese market.

In addition, Bac Giang is proposing to grant 13 additional growing area codes, covering an area of 575 hectares, bringing the total area of lychee grown for export to China to 16,609 hectares, with an estimated output of 110,000 tons.

To facilitate the export of lychees to China, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Giang has coordinated with localities to organize training for gardeners, cooperatives, and exporting enterprises to strictly comply with and comply with the regulations in Order 248 (management of registration of foreign food production enterprises exporting to China) and Order 249 (management of food safety exported and imported to China) of the General Administration of Customs of China, to minimize risks in export.

In addition, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Giang is supporting and guiding production households in the lychee growing area to prepare well the conditions of facilities, equipment, harvesting tools and prepare for field inspection of the growing area and packaging facilities by the General Department of Customs of China.
