19 national excellent students in literature, history and geography were admitted directly to Hanoi Medical University.

Hanoi Medical University announced on the evening of July 10 that 178 candidates were directly admitted to the school this year. They all won national excellent student competitions or regional and international Olympic medals. Depending on the major, the requirements for awards and subjects are different.

This is the first time that candidates who won prizes in social subjects can go straight to Hanoi Medical University because this is the first year the school opens a Psychology major with admission combinations such as: B00 (math, chemistry, biology), D01 (math, literature, English) and C00 (literature, history, geography).

Of these, 19 students won second prize or higher in national excellent student competitions in literature, history, and geography and were admitted to the psychology major. One student who was excellent in English was admitted to the psychology major.

The medical major has the highest number of direct admission candidates with 128 candidates, Thanh Hoa branch of medicine has 16 candidates, maxillofacial has 5 candidates, refractive ophthalmology has 3 candidates, medical testing technology has 2 candidates, traditional medicine has 2 candidates, public health and nutrition each have 1 candidate.

In addition, there are 3 candidates who passed the direct entrance exam and have studied for one year at the Ethnic University Preparatory School.

Candidates who are admitted directly must confirm their admission online on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training before 5:00 p.m. on July 31.

According to the 2024 enrollment plan announced by Hanoi Medical University in June, in 2024, there will be 3 new regular university majors opened: Midwifery, Dental Prosthetics and Psychology.

Of which, Psychology major takes 60 quotas, recruiting blocks B00 (math, chemistry, biology), C00 (literature, history, geography) and D01 (math, literature, English). Each block has 20 quotas.

Another major of the school that also recruits block D01 is Public Health with 20 quotas.

In the 2024 university entrance exam, Hanoi Medical University has many new points.

Specifically, in addition to the direct admission policy, the school has three independent admission methods marked by three codes: 100, 409 and 402.

Admission method 100% considering high school graduation exam results in 2024 for all majors.

Admission method 409 combines high school graduation exam results with international English or French certificates for the following majors: Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing advanced programs.
