Last 15 days of December 2023: There were 30,560 cases of alcohol concentration violations

Lieutenant General To An Xo said that the Ministry of Public Security has launched a high-point campaign to attack and suppress crime from December 15, 2023.

After 15 days of implementing the peak plan (from December 15 to December 29, 2023), the police force has focused on attacking and suppressing organized crimes related to black credit, crimes using weapons and explosives to commit crimes, robberies, snatching and other types of crimes; intensifying the fight against large, transnational drug trafficking and transportation lines, drug trafficking, organization and use hotspots; stepping up the fight against economic crimes and corruption in key sectors and fields; fighting against smuggling and trade fraud, etc.

Compared to the 15 days before the peak, the peak period of crime fighting achieved remarkable results, in which social order crimes decreased by 8.75%. The police investigated and discovered 1,587 cases of social order crimes, arrested and handled 3,544 subjects, of which 103 cases were prosecuted, 191 subjects were arrested related to "black credit" activities; discovered and handled 1,379 cases, 6,032 subjects committing crimes and violating the law on gambling; arrested, persuaded to surrender, and eliminated 192 wanted subjects; discovered 2,474 cases of economic crimes and violations of the law; 38 cases of corruption and position crimes...

The Ministry of Public Security has also done a good job in state management of security and order: organized and mobilized, confiscating 2,121 guns (an increase of 61%), 8,919 bullets, 3,450 primitive weapons, various support tools, 283kg of firecrackers... Detected 581 cases, 875 subjects illegally manufacturing, trading, transporting, storing firecrackers, confiscating more than 11.26 tons of firecrackers. Detected and handled more than 145,841 cases of traffic safety violations, including 30,560 cases of alcohol concentration violations...

Speaking more about the fight against corruption and negative crimes, Lieutenant General To An Xo said that the Ministry of Public Security always follows the policy of making a case to warn the whole region and field in the spirit of the rule of law, no forbidden areas, no exceptions, and will do everything clearly and thoroughly recover assets for the State and the people.

“We made a case to warn the whole region, for example, the stock market manipulation case is FLC; bond manipulation is Tan Hoang Minh; banking manipulation is SCB; policy manipulation is vehicle inspection, gasoline, Xuyen Viet Oil; resources, minerals are cases in An Giang, Lam Dong. Obviously, through these cases, those who intend to continue manipulating will be stopped or discouraged,” Lieutenant General To An Xo emphasized, at the same time, he said that the results achieved in the bond sector as reported by the leaders of the Ministry of Finance were also due to the warnings and alarms of the Ministry of Public Security.
