Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed on October 25 that Russia plans to deploy North Korean troops to the battlefield starting from October 27-28.
On his Telegram page, Mr. Zelensky wrote: “According to reliable intelligence information, from October 27-28, the North Korean army will be used by Russia for the first time in war zones.”
The Ukrainian leader called on allies to respond to this “escalatory move” by applying “clear pressure” on Moscow and Pyongyang.

Regarding this issue, on the same day, October 25, the North Korean Foreign Ministry announced that it would not confirm press reports about the country deploying troops to support Russia's conflict in Ukraine, after Pyongyang's representative at the United Nations rejected these accusations.
In a statement carried by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) , Vice Foreign Minister Kim Jong Gyu stressed that if Pyongyang takes such steps, it will be in line with international norms, despite others' attempts to portray the move as illegal.
The statement came after Russian President Vladimir Putin refused to deny the information, which came from the governments of Ukraine, South Korea, the United States and other countries.
