Many trade promotion activities have created more opportunities for Quang Ninh OCOP products to expand their consumption markets.
According to the report of the Office of New Rural Area Coordination of Quang Ninh province, up to now, Quang Ninh has 417 OCOP products of 13 localities achieving 3-5 stars, such as Ba Che Morinda officinalis wine, Dong Trieu yellow sticky rice, Mong Cai pig, Tien Yen chicken, Van Don sea worms, Co To squid, medicinal products...
In particular, the locality has developed 4 national 5-star OCOP products (Akoya pearls, Tahitian pearls, Southsea pearls, Quy Hoa golden flower tea), 6 potential 5-star products have completed documents to send to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for appraisal, including Ba Che golden flower tea, oyster floss, Yen Tu plum wine, Quang Hanh natural mineral water, Dong Bac 7-leaf Gynostemma pentaphyllum tea health protection food, Vien An Dong Bac sugar health protection food.

In order to help consumers know more about OCOP products, Quang Ninh province has recently implemented many connection programs, trade promotion weeks, and fairs. Through these activities, OCOP entities are promoted and their products are effectively connected with many consumers.
Quang Ninh province has focused on supporting farmers by putting their products on e-commerce platforms such as Postmart.vn and Voso.vn. In particular, the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Ninh province has coordinated with major e-commerce platforms such as Tiki, Lazada, Sendo... to organize many introduction sessions, instructing business owners and cooperatives on how to put their products on the platform, helping people take advantage of the development of digital technology, in order to expand their models as well as diversify their business types.
The fact that OCOP products are put on e-commerce platforms has helped domestic and foreign consumers to conveniently buy Quang Ninh OCOP products anytime, anywhere when needed and expand the distribution and consumption channels of products, bringing large revenue sources for farmers.
Along with domestic promotion, with the goal of boosting cross-border trade, bringing Quang Ninh OCOP products to the international market, the province has organized booths at domestic and foreign trade promotion programs such as Vietnam Expo 2024, China - Vietnam Border Tourism Festival 2024, China - ASEAN Import and Export Fair, 8th China - South Asia Expo, 28th Kunming Import and Export Fair (China), Vietnam - Laos International Trade Fair 2024.
These programs have brought about extremely positive results, helping Quang Ninh OCOP enterprises find new directions in export.

In the coming time, Quang Ninh will promote trade promotion activities, support businesses, production, processing and trading establishments of OCOP products, and expand product output, such as: Organizing the Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Autumn-Winter 2024, taking place from November 14 to 18 in Mong Cai City; participating in key fairs in 2024 in localities such as Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho; participating in the ASEAN - China Fair, Vietnam Goods Fair in Cambodia 2024, China - Vietnam Border Trade and Tourism Fair 2024 in Dongxing (China).
According to Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee of the OCOP Program of Quang Ninh province, in the coming time, the province will continue to further promote the work of connecting and promoting trade with international markets, focusing on large markets such as China and ASEAN. In addition, taking advantage of the strengths of free trade agreements and advantages from e-commerce will also be promoted, so that OCOP Quang Ninh enterprises can continuously improve product quality, bringing the unique and special values of the locality to international markets.
To continue developing OCOP products, meeting market demand and customer tastes, the province is continuing to promote the development and standardization of OCOP products, contributing to promoting the restructuring of the agricultural sector, developing production towards concentrated goods, building brands, increasing product value, and expanding consumer markets.
The province also promotes training and education on knowledge and skills in market development for OCOP entities; supports and orients packaging, labels, design, and forms typical OCOP product lines associated with local history and culture.
At the same time, strengthen the survey, expand the development of agricultural tourism types, build tours and routes to bring tourists to experience, visit and shop right at the production facilities, where OCOP products are displayed, to create uniqueness, novelty and attract tourists.
Currently, Quang Ninh province has about 30 OCOP centers and points of sale. At tourist resort projects, OCOP Quang Ninh products are introduced, with the motto "each product is a tourism ambassador".
