Seeking opinions from the Secretariat on the Project to develop a pilot mechanism and policy for the development of Van Don Economic Zone

(NLDO) - Van Don aims to become the economic and cultural center of the region with a focus on the service industry and industries using advanced science and technology.

The Standing Committee of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee has agreed to submit to the Secretariat for comments on the Project to build a pilot mechanism and policy for the development of Van Don Economic Zone.

Van Don's economic development targets by 2030 are to achieve an average growth rate of 25-30% per year; by 2030, the total production value will reach 5.6 billion USD...

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee agreed to report and propose that the Standing Committee of the Secretariat add it to the Politburo 's work program; propose that the Politburo allow Quang Ninh province to preside over and coordinate with a number of central ministries and branches to develop and complete the "Project on building pilot mechanisms and policies for the development of Van Don Economic Zone, Quang Ninh province" to report to competent authorities according to regulations.

Van Don Economic Zone was established by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 120/2007/QD-TTg dated July 26, 2007, with the master plan adjusted in 2020, oriented to be a multi-sector, multi-field marine economic zone, high-class sea-island tourism, comprehensive services; is an international trade gateway to create unique, different, modern products with high quality, brand name and international competitiveness...

Van Don is aiming to become the economic and cultural center of the region with a focus on developing the service industry and industries using advanced science and technology, developing new industries, new technology, high level, focusing on logistics services, high-end tourism, modern entertainment industry of international stature, high-tech industry; a center for startups, innovation and international trade in the region.

Economic development targets by 2030 are to achieve an average growth rate of 25-30%/year; by 2030, total production value will reach 5.6 billion USD...

In order to promote the advantages of Van Don, the Government assigned Quang Ninh province to coordinate with ministries and branches to implement the Project on Building pilot mechanisms and policies for the development of Van Don Economic Zone.

Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee has also established a Working Group to develop a Project to develop pilot mechanisms and policies for the development of Van Don Economic Zone...
