On the evening of March 22, the Hanoi Women's Union coordinated with Hanoi Radio and Television to organize the political and artistic television program "Forever the tradition of women" "Three Virtues" to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the "Three Virtues" women's movement (March 1965 - March 2025).
The program took place at the main bridge point of the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship Cultural Palace and the relay point of the "Three Virtuous" Women's Monument (Phung town, Dan Phuong district) with the participation of about 1,200 people.

Attending the event were Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Pham Tat Thang; Party Central Committee member, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen; former Party Central Committee member, former Vice President, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education Nguyen Thi Doan.
Attending the event were leaders of Hanoi city, including Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong; Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Lan Huong; Deputy Head of the City National Assembly Delegation Pham Thi Thanh Mai.
Also attending the program were delegates who were leaders and former leaders of a number of ministries, central agencies and Hanoi city; historical witnesses, people who directly participated in the "Three Responsibilities" women's movement during the resistance war against the US to save the country.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union Le Kim Anh said: Originating from the initiative of the Women's Union of Dan Phuong district, on March 22, 1965, the "Three responsibilities" movement was officially launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union in Directive 03, and President Ho Chi Minh suggested changing the name to "Three responsibilities" with the following contents: Responsible for production and work to replace husband and children who go to war; responsible for family work so that husband and children can fight with peace of mind; responsible for serving in combat and being ready to fight when necessary.
The movement developed into a vibrant revolutionary movement, full of enthusiasm of women in the whole North in the period of 1965-1975. The first "Three Virtues" Congress of women in the Capital in December 1965 was honored to receive visits and encouragement from President Ho Chi Minh, Prime Minister Pham Van Dong and heroine Ta Thi Kieu. 21 women with outstanding achievements in the "Three Virtues" movement were awarded the Uncle Ho Badge at the Congress. From the movement, female heroes, female generals with high working days, generals in irrigation, female self-defense platoons, and female militia platoons determined to win appeared.


“We are proud that from 1965 to 1974, the “Three Virtues” movement in the whole North had 42 female heroes, 9 female hero units were honored; 1,718 women were awarded the Uncle Ho Badge, more than 5,000 women were national emulation fighters, nearly 4 million members achieved the title of “Three Virtues” women,” Ms. Le Kim Anh emphasized.
According to Ms. Le Kim Anh, through the “Three Virtues” movement, Hanoi women, along with women and people in the North, fulfilled their great rear duty for the Southern frontline, deserving the praise of President Ho Chi Minh: “Vietnamese women are brave and virtuoso in fighting the Americans to save the country”, contributing to the great victory of Spring 1975, liberating the South and unifying the country.
60 years have passed, but the mark of the "Three Responsibilities" movement is forever the pride of women, the people of the capital and the whole country.
The President of the City Women's Union said: The political art program "Forever the tradition of women" "Three Virtues" aims to review the glorious and proud tradition of the women's movement and the whole nation during the years of resistance against the US, as a tribute to the grandmothers, mothers, and women of the capital "Three Virtues" in the past, adding motivation for today's generations of women to constantly train, be brave, confident, aspire to contribute, join hands to build the capital and the country to develop strongly and prosperously in the new era of the nation.
At the program, delegates and women's union members met and exchanged with historical witnesses participating in the "Three Virtues" movement: Ms. Nguyen Thi Sang, former Train Captain, in charge of the "Three Virtues" train team in the railway industry; Ms. Le Thi Quynh, former Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Trung Chau commune (Dan Phuong district); Colonel, doctor, people's physician Nguyen Kim Nu Hieu, former Deputy Director of the 108 Central Military Hospital.


Next, the political and artistic television program "Forever the tradition of Three-competent Women" took place with 3 parts: Born in hardship; Strong influence; Continuing the tradition of the "Three-competent" movement.
The program praises the image of women in the capital in particular, and Vietnamese women in general, who have promoted the spirit of volunteering to take care of all family chores; volunteering to replace men in production, social work, and encouraging relatives to go to war.
Through the special stories of living witnesses, the art of music has portrayed the vitality of one of the most influential emulation movements of the 20th century, with the image of Vietnamese women as "Heroic - Indomitable - Loyal - Responsible".
