Along with that, in May 2024, Decree No. 37/2024/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 26/2017/NQ-CP detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Fisheries Law and Decree No. 38/2024/ND-CP regulating administrative sanctions in the fisheries sector will take effect. Therefore, the EC has postponed the time to inspect, supervise and review the implementation of the above two Decrees. The EC still recommends Vietnam on a number of contents such as fleet management, fleet supervision, traceability and handling of administrative violations, which is a very decisive requirement of the EC to remove the yellow card.
