On August 16, a Facebook account posted information: Mr. YNM (born in 1989, Ede ethnic group in Ea Kmat hamlet, Hoa Dong commune, Krong Pac district) had his kidney stolen. Information from the Facebook page said that Mr. YNM had dengue fever and was weak, when he was returned, the hospital operated on his lower abdomen, the incident happened on August 16, 2023 right at the Central Highlands General Hospital.
Deputy Director of the Central Highlands General Hospital Trinh Hong Nhut affirmed that this information is completely false. In response to the false information posted and shared on social networks, the Central Highlands General Hospital has requested the authorities to investigate, clarify and handle the matter according to the provisions of the law.
Through monitoring and grasping the situation, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (Provincial Police) discovered that the Facebook account "YSH" shared articles and videos posted by the Facebook account "PHAM NGOC TOAN" (UID: 100094669144680; by Alur Y Min - a FULRO subject residing in Thailand) reporting false information about the cause of death and distorting, slandering, and insulting the reputation of the leaders of the Party, the State and the Central Highlands General Hospital, denying the efforts of the medical team in the process of treating and saving the patient.

During the verification, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department invited Mr. YSH (born in 1999, residing in Ye village, Ea Kenh commune, Krong Pac district) to work with him, the owner of the Facebook account "YSH". After being analyzed and explained by the officer that posting and sharing false information is a violation of the law, YSH realized that his actions were wrong and due to limited knowledge and lack of understanding of the law when participating in social networks, he did not thoroughly research the case and shared it on his personal Facebook page. The person expressed remorse and regret for his rash behavior and pledged not to repeat the offense.
In addition, the unit also proactively discussed with the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention ( Gia Lai Provincial Police) about the Facebook account "Thao An Nhien" managed and used by Ms. PTPT (residing in Chu Se District, Gia Lai Province) which posted and shared information and articles with false content related to the above incident. After that, Ms. PTPT was invited to work and was administratively fined VND 5 million for posting false information on the internet.
Through the above incident, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (Provincial Police) recommends that people be extremely cautious, carefully research, and consider the content received when participating in social networks to post and share official, verified information provided by competent authorities.
Any act of participating in social networks, posting, sharing fake, untrue information, insulting the honor and reputation of organizations and individuals... will be strictly handled according to the provisions of the law on Cyber Security, especially Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP dated February 3, 2020 of the Government "regulating administrative sanctions in the fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology and electronic transactions".
