The Provincial Market Management Department has just issued a Decision to administratively sanction Mr. Lam Minh Thuc (Thang Loi Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City) for the act of "Displaying and selling counterfeit trademark goods", with a fine of 10 million VND.
Accordingly, on May 11, according to information provided by the E-Commerce Task Force, Market Management Team No. 1 conducted a surprise inspection of a sports shoe business located in Thang Loi Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City, owned by Mr. Lam Minh Thuc.

At the time of inspection, the Inspection Team discovered that Mr. Thuc was displaying for sale sports shoes with the NIKE trademark and image (protected for footwear, according to a copy of the National Trademark Register No. 3440 in Official Dispatch No. 2771/SHTT-SCVB of the Department of Intellectual Property dated April 6, 2021) without the permission of the trademark owner, violating the provisions of the Law on Intellectual Property 2005 and the Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Intellectual Property 2009. The value of the infringing evidence is 7.5 million VND.
Mr. Thuc confessed that the goods were bought on the market, then posted on his personal Facebook account to sell for profit.
Market Management Team No. 1 has temporarily detained all the violating goods according to regulations and completed the dossier to submit to the Provincial Market Management Department to issue a Decision on administrative sanctions against the above business establishment.
