Growing nearly 1,000 pots of crystal chrysanthemums, in recent days, Mr. Dang (living in Hoa Chau commune) has been continuously loading the flowers onto traders' vehicles for transport. Mr. Dang said that the transport vehicles are hired by traders, and the flower porters are hired by gardeners.

"Porters are usually freelance workers or idle farmers here. They are paid 300,000-400,000 VND/person, depending on their health and the level of work," Dang shared.

Because Mrs. Lieu's rented car is medium sized, it can carry 12 pots at a time. On average, she spends about 1 million VND per day transporting flowers to the point of sale.

Another grower said that this year, most of the flowers bloomed in time for Tet and were quite beautiful. The gardeners have already received orders from traders for more than 50%. His garden alone has nearly 1,000 pots, with more than 200 pots remaining, expected to be shipped by traders on February 1.
