As of 6:30 a.m. on January 23, authorities were still urgently rescuing victims of a traffic accident that occurred near Km36+314 of the La Son – Tuy Loan highway (La Son – Hoa Lien section, in Da Nang city).

Initial information, at about 1:30 a.m. the same day, driver Phuong Thanh Tung (born in 1988, residing in EaTir commune, EaH' Leo district, Dak Lak province) drove a passenger bus with license plate number 47D - 01067 on the La Son - Tuy Loan highway in the South - North direction.

When reaching Km36+314 (in Ta Lang village, Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city), the passenger bus suddenly left the lane and crossed an empty land.

The bus continued to crash into the embankment and fell into a stream. At the time of the accident, it was raining heavily on the highway.

The accident resulted in 2 deaths, 3 serious injuries and many others with less serious injuries were taken to the emergency room.

Upon receiving the news, forces from Da Nang City Police and Nam Dong District Police (Thua Thien Hue Province) quickly arrived at the scene and mobilized vehicles for rescue.

The injured victims were taken to Da Nang Hospital and Hoa Vang District Medical Center for emergency treatment.

It is known that at the time of the accident, there were 19 passengers and 3 others on the bus, including the driver and the bus assistant.
