Bus in Hanoi burned fiercely at dawn

The bus fire occurred at around 5:15 a.m. on February 22, on Nguyen Khoi dike, Bach Dang ward, Hai Ba Trung district (Hanoi).

At the above time, a bus (license plate unknown) was running from Luong Yen to Bac Co, when it just entered Nguyen Khoi lane, in front of the gate of Viet - Xo Friendship Hospital, it caught fire.

The bus burst into flames as soon as it left the station.

The fire quickly rose from the front of the bus and spread to the interior materials. Luckily, the bus had just left the station and had no passengers.

Then, the driver, bus attendant and people used portable fire extinguishers to carry out initial fire fighting measures but were ineffective.

Upon receiving the news, Hai Ba Trung District Police and Hoan Kiem District Police quickly arrived to control the fire and prevent it from spreading and affecting the tire and tube business street, auto repair shop and Luong Yen gas station near the area.

The bus burned to the frame, fortunately no one was injured.

The fire was extinguished as soon as the authorities arrived. The bus was burned to the frame, the interior was completely damaged.

The fire scene was also moved shortly afterwards, before the day's traffic rush.

The fire did not cause any human casualties, the cause of the incident is under investigation.
