By the evening of Saturday, August 10th, Binh Thuan Street has truly "fallen" (according to locals and tourists), with a series of large and small models pouring in to perform in a myriad of colors along with amateur street dancers ready to burn themselves out to vibrant music.

However, according to the feedback of the people and tourists, there are still unsightly images of non-professional dancers and sounds that are considered "garbage" sounds that are not suitable for Thanh Tuyen Festival.

Ms. Tran Thi Khanh, Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District (Hanoi City) said that she spent an entire evening participating in the giant Mid-Autumn Festival model parade with the people of Tuyen Quang. For her, Thanh Tuyen Festival is truly spiritual food for the people, thereby helping her understand more about the land and people of Tuyen Quang. According to Ms. Khanh, although she was very happy, very impressed, and satisfied with the models, she also had concerns when there were young people wearing overly revealing clothes, standing on the model cars dancing, which was not suitable for a Mid-Autumn Festival season.

The image of young people wearing costumes that are not culturally appropriate reflects the true nature and meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival for children.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Son, a tourist from Hoa Binh, shared that this year, although the festival has not officially started, he heard that Tuyen Quang is very exciting. Therefore, he took advantage of the weekend to take his whole family to Tuyen Quang to play. Instead of letting his children experience the vibrant dance music models, he chose to let them sit on cars with songs suitable for their childhood or songs related to the Mid-Autumn Festival.

“Personally, I agree with modernizing but still want to preserve the cultural features that are true to the nature and meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival for children. It is not appropriate for young people to play dance music, songs that are only suitable for bars, and then wear revealing clothes or ridiculous costumes, stand on a lamp, and dance and twist like bar dancers,” said Mr. Son.

Ms. Tran Thi Luyen, Hung Thanh Ward (Tuyen Quang City) commented that although it has not yet entered the festival, every night Tuyen Quang City has attracted a lot of people and tourists to see the Mid-Autumn Festival models. However, motorbikes and cars of visitors and people going to see the festival also move and stop in no order. People and tourists, especially children, have to participate in the parade and inhale exhaust fumes from motorbikes and cars, which is very uncomfortable. She hopes that every night there will be a road closure on Binh Thuan Street, creating a walking street for people to enjoy more comfortably and fully.

The organization of Thanh Tuyen Festival not only shows the interest and cooperation of the whole community with the festival of childhood, but also through the parade activities, Tuyen Quang introduces its unique culture to tourists. Many models not only show artistic elements but also have high educational value.

Tuyen Quang City People's Committee worked with Nong Tien Ward People's Committee on the implementation of the model as well as the movement.

Ms. Phan Hong Nhung, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Tuyen Quang city, said that in order to create highlights and bring visitors many experiences during the Thanh Tuyen festival, the city has issued a "Code of conduct to build the culture of Tuyen Quang city "Civilized - Friendly - Clean" in the Thanh Tuyen festival in 2024". In which, it clearly stipulates the standards, norms, attitudes of people, tourists and tourism service businesses, passenger transport, restaurant services, hotels, accommodation services, etc.

As soon as there was information from the people reflecting that there was a model in Ham Yen district participating in a parade on the streets of Tuyen Quang city with a group of young people wearing offensive costumes and dancing inappropriately for the festival, Tuyen Quang City People's Committee coordinated with Ham Yen District People's Committee and the People's Committees of the remaining districts to propagate the "Code of conduct to build Tuyen Quang city culture "Civilized - Friendly - Clean" in Tuyen Quang City Festival 2024".

Authorities visited, inspected and propagated to people to build the Doc Do model properly and participate in the festival in a civilized and polite manner.

At the same time, the City People's Committee also actively propagates this code to communes, wards, residential groups and villages in the city. Thereby, it aims to build a beautiful, safe, civilized and polite festival season in the eyes of the people and tourists.

The 2024 Thanh Tuyen Festival officially takes place from August 31 to September 15, but these days Tuyen Quang city is very vibrant with colorful models on the streets.

In addition to issuing the above code of conduct for building culture in Tuyen Quang city, in 2024, Tuyen Quang city will also launch the movement "Beautify our streets" with the contents of proposing initiatives to protect the clean and bright festival environment; impressive decorations on roads and alleys in communes and wards.
