Huong Lam border commune receives certificate of recognition for meeting new rural standards

With the support and sponsorship of departments, branches, units and the drastic participation of the locality, Huong Lam commune (Huong Khe, Ha Tinh) has completed the criteria and been recognized as meeting the NTM standards.

On the morning of October 15, Huong Lam commune, Huong Khe district held a ceremony to launch the book on the history of the Party Committee and People of Huong Lam commune in the period 1930-2020; and announced the decision that the commune has met new rural standards.

Huong Lam commune is a small valley, located in the Ngan Sau river basin, surrounded by high mountains on all four sides, with isolated terrain. The commune has a natural area of ​​over 17,000 hectares, with a dense system of fences and streams. Therefore, Huong Lam builds a new rural area in difficult conditions.

On April 22, 2022, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 834 on assigning and approving sponsorship and sponsorship for villages and communes to build new rural areas, accordingly, Huong Lam commune is sponsored and sponsored by 12 provincial departments and branches.

Representatives of the units' leaders awarded certificates of recognition for the commune meeting NTM standards and congratulated Huong Lam commune.

Thanks to that, in 3 years, from 2021-2023, 9 school buildings in the commune were upgraded or newly built with a total investment of nearly 40 billion VND; more than 1,000 septic tanks were built to replace substandard toilets; more than 255 domestic wastewater treatment pits were installed; 300 barns were relocated and covered; nearly 20 km of roads were upgraded and renovated; more than 100 makeshift houses were supported and upgraded, and more than 100 temporary houses were eliminated;...

The total value of cash and material support from sponsoring and supporting units to the commune and villages is more than 10 billion VND. Along with that, thousands of working days of officers and soldiers of the armed forces of the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Border Guard Command, Brigade 283 of Military Region 4; officers and teachers of units in Huong Khe district were mobilized to support people and communes in building criteria.

With the participation of the people, by 2023, Huong Lam commune had completed the criteria and was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a commune meeting NTM standards.

Huong Khe district leaders awarded the NTM certificate to Huong Lien commune.

Previously, on October 7, in the excitement of officials and people, Huong Lien commune (Huong Khe district) also held a ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition of the commune meeting NTM standards.
