On March 13, the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms (Cuc Phuong National Park) received and rescued an extremely endangered and rare wild animal from people in Bac Giang province.
It is known that this immature Brown-headed Eagle, for unknown reasons, swooped down on a resident's garden, near a field in Mai Trung Commune, Hiep Hoa District (Bac Giang Province). Unable to fly, the eagle was captured by local residents. Mr. Nguyen Van Que - a local resident, proactively contacted Cuc Phuong National Park, asking for support and offering to receive and rescue it.
After receiving information from the people, Cuc Phuong National Park sent staff to verify and provide preliminary instructions to the people on the type of food and how to care for and feed the Eagle to ensure its health, and promptly transferred it to Cuc Phuong National Park for care and nurturing.
Early in the morning of March 13, Mr. Que and some people from Bac Giang province quickly traveled hundreds of kilometers to Cuc Phuong National Park, personally handing over the Eagle to the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Creatures.
The staff of Cuc Phuong National Park are extremely grateful for the humane actions of Mr. Que and some local people. Another extremely rare animal has a chance to survive and return to its home, thereby spreading love and responsibility for wildlife and Mother Nature to the community.
