Naval Region 5: hundreds of technical innovations and improvements to effectively serve training and combat readiness

From 2020 to present, officers and soldiers of the Naval Region 5 Command have researched and created hundreds of technical innovations and improvements. Among them, many high-quality products with high practical value have been certified and applied in practice, effectively serving the training, combat readiness and technical assurance work at the unit.

Naval Region 5 launched an emulation campaign to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.

On July 30, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, the Naval Region 5 Command held a conference to review the Campaign "Management and exploitation of weapons and technical equipment in a good, durable, safe, economical and traffic-safe manner" (CVD 50) for the period 2020-2024.

Over the past 5 years, the Party Committee of the Naval Region 5 Command, Party committees and commanders at all levels and the Steering Committee of Campaign 50 in Region 5 have regularly paid attention to monitoring and directing the implementation of the contents and goals of Campaign 50 in conjunction with the military and defense tasks of agencies and units; organizing the dissemination, propaganda and education of the purpose and significance of Campaign 50 and the two breakthroughs "Building a disciplined technical discipline and mastering technical equipment" to 100% of officers and soldiers of the unit; attaching the criteria of Campaign 50 to emulation movements in many diverse and rich forms. Thereby, raising the awareness and responsibility of soldiers in implementing the work of managing and exploiting weapons and technical equipment well, durably, safely, economically and in traffic safety.

The whole Region has done a good job of ensuring technical equipment for tasks, with the annual technical coefficient reaching and exceeding the target of 3-7%. The unit has mobilized over 12,000 working days for preservation, maintenance, and repair outside of working hours, benefiting the State with more than 4 billion VND. The movement of researching topics, initiatives, and technical improvements in the whole Region has been well promoted. In his speech, Colonel Trinh Xuan Tung acknowledged and commended the achievements of agencies and units in implementing the 50th Movement and reminded Party committees and commanders at all levels to continue to thoroughly grasp and organize the implementation of the 50th Movement closely and effectively; take the results of the Movement implementation as a criterion for evaluating the completion of tasks of collectives and individuals; regularly innovate the forms and methods of propaganda and education work in organizing the implementation of the Movement; focus on improving the quality of the implementation of the "Technical Day", the qualifications, capacity and ability to master technical equipment in the payroll of the team of technical officers and staff.

The Commander of the Region requested units to properly implement the Directive of the Navy Commander on promoting the movement of initiatives, technical improvements, applying domestic technology, autonomous technology to improve, modernize, preserve, maintain, and repair technical equipment; strictly maintain the order of monitoring, guiding, directing, and inspecting the implementation of Campaign 50; manage, exploit, and use technical equipment according to the correct procedures, not allowing loss or damage due to subjective errors; and at the same time, do a good job of praising, rewarding, and replicating advanced examples in the implementation of the Campaign, contributing to encouraging and motivating officers and soldiers to successfully complete their assigned tasks...

On this occasion, the Naval Region 5 Command commended 10 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the 50th Campaign; at the same time, launched an emulation movement to implement the 50th Campaign in the 2025-2029 period.
