Among 72 countries and territories with newly licensed investment projects in Vietnam in 2023, Singapore is the largest investor with 3.77 billion USD of registered capital, accounting for 18.7% of total newly registered capital.

Next is China, with an investment capital of 3.54 billion USD, accounting for 17.6%; Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (China) invested 3.41 billion USD, accounting for 16.9%; Japan invested 2.86 billion USD, accounting for 14.2%; Taiwan (China) invested 2.25 billion USD, accounting for 11.1%; South Korea invested 1.84 billion USD, accounting for 9.1%...

Disbursed foreign direct investment in Vietnam in 2023 will reach 23.18 billion USD, up 3.5% compared to 2022. This is the highest amount of foreign direct investment in the past 5 years.

Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry disbursed 19.08 billion USD, accounting for 82.3%. Next was the production and distribution of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning with 1.37 billion USD, accounting for 5.9%; real estate business activities reached 1.15 billion USD, accounting for 4.9%.

Meanwhile, Vietnam's total investment capital abroad in 2023 (including newly granted and adjusted capital) reached 420.9 million USD, down 21.2% compared to 2022.

Leading the way were the wholesale and retail trade, repair of automobiles, motorcycles, motorbikes and other motor vehicles with 156.9 million USD, accounting for 37.3% of total investment capital; information and communications with 120.6 million USD, accounting for 28.7%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning with 84.4 million USD, accounting for 20%.

In 2023, 26 countries and territories will receive investment from Vietnam. Specifically, Canada is the leading country with a capital of 150.3 million USD, accounting for 35.7% of Vietnam's total foreign investment capital; Singapore 122.6 million USD, accounting for 29.1%; Laos 116.7 million USD, accounting for 27.7%; Cuba reached 11.8 million USD, accounting for 2.8% ...
