In 2002, Mr. Duc and his wife founded the Charity Association called "The Whole Leaves Cover the Torn Leaves" (LLDLR). At first, only he and his wife carried out all the steps: from researching and discovering cases in need of help, then self-funding to organizing visits, giving gifts, and encouraging the spirit... Gradually, the good news spread far and wide, and up to now the LLDLR Charity Association has gathered 20 members from many sectors of society: from civil servants, public employees, teachers, small traders, private enterprises, to motorbike taxi drivers, cyclo drivers... to participate. The association operates with the motto: "Do good deeds without calculating gains and losses". Through its activities, the association has had many meaningful programs and many volunteer activities with extremely profound humanistic values.

For example, the program "Love shirt for students in remote areas of A Luoi" - collects a number of items: old clothes, shoes, blankets, books, pencils, pens, rice, instant noodles... to help poor children, students of kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools in Hong Van and A Roang communes; the program "Giving Tet gifts" brings smiles, joy and happiness to poor students in some localities of the province. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2019, Duc's Association sowed "seeds of love", solidarity and kindness for poor students who overcame difficulties and excelled in their studies at Phu Mau Secondary School; gave hundreds of gifts including rice and instant noodles to people in difficult circumstances, single-parent families, and homeless elderly people; Giving gifts to the elderly in Kim Long resettlement area, the elderly in difficult circumstances in An Ninh Thuong village (Huong Long ward), lonely old women in Dong Ba bridge area, Gia Hoi bridge, poor households in Phu Loc district, Phong Dien district and Phu Mau commune (Phu Vang district)...

Le Huu Ha, 12 years old, at the Hy Vong shelter, emotionally said: “I thank Uncle Duc and the uncles and aunts in the group for bringing us a warm Mid-Autumn Festival. Every year, when the eighth lunar month comes, we eagerly wait for Uncle Duc's group to come and give gifts.” On September 21, 2019, Duc's group also gave 500 soup portions to patients and their families at Hue Central Hospital. Tran Thi Thuy, a patient who received free soup, shared: “I come from Quang Ngai and have to stay in the hospital for a long time, my family's finances are very difficult, I am very grateful to receive rice, food, and soup portions from the LLĐLR Charity Association. Thank you, Duc and the brothers and sisters of the Association.”

In 2018, the LLĐLR Association, chaired by Mr. Duc, gave gifts to people in difficult circumstances, with cancer and serious illnesses, and granted scholarships to poor students who had overcome difficulties, and children in remote areas in Thua Thien Hue province with a total cost of more than 45 million VND. In 2019, the "Healthy Leaves Cover Torn Leaves" Charity Association gave gifts to the poor and awarded scholarships to students with a value of over 40 million VND. Such encouraging initial results were achieved thanks to the dedication to volunteer work of the "co-captains" Mr. Nguyen Van Duc and Ms. Tran Thi Tam.

Recently, in May 2023, in just one week, Mr. Duc and his wife raised 8.6 million VND to provide timely support for Tran Thi Thuy, 28 years old, residing in Hamlet 15, Mau Tai Village (Phu Mau Commune), who suffered from sepsis but was in a very tragic situation. Currently, the charity association "The Whole Leaves Cover the Torn Leaves" of the couple Tam - Duc is also initiating and implementing many meaningful volunteer programs with profound humanitarian values in the summer of 2023.

Mr. Tran Loc - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuan Loc Ward (Hue City), commented: "The charity association "The Good Leaves Cover the Torn Leaves" run by Mr. Nguyen Van Duc and his wife, in recent years, has had many practical activities with extremely profound humanitarian values, helping many difficult and disadvantaged situations, not only in Thuan Loc Ward, but also spreading to many other localities in the province. We acknowledge and commend the couple's efforts to enrich their humanity."
