In addition to achieving the target of vaccine coverage, VNVC pays special attention to ensuring safe vaccination and high disease prevention efficiency.

From September 16, children aged 1-10 who have not been vaccinated against measles or have not received 2 doses of the vaccine will be vaccinated against measles for free at 39 VNVC vaccination centers in Ho Chi Minh City, but will still enjoy the full range of safe and professional vaccination services provided by VNVC. According to records on the morning of September 16, many parents took advantage of the time to bring their children to VNVC vaccination centers in the area to get vaccinated against measles.

VNVC also pledged to be ready to support facilities, medical supplies, and mobilize staff to join the city in preventing measles. VNVC's activities also demonstrate social responsibility, joining hands with the whole country to repel the epidemic, protecting the health of millions of people.

To ensure a safe source of vaccines for the campaign, Ms. Ngo Thi Tuyet Suong, Director of Quality Management of the VNVC Vaccination System, said that VNVC has sent specialized refrigerated trucks to transport vaccines that meet GSP standards to district health centers to receive measles vaccines distributed by the City.

“During the entire transportation journey, vaccines are also strictly controlled by the quality management and logistics team from the time the vaccines are delivered to the specialized cold storage at the centers, and this is only the first safe stage of the vaccine. Vaccines that are not transported and stored safely according to GSP standards will not ensure quality, will not create protection, not to mention affecting the safety and health of children, wasting efforts to implement the campaign,” said Ms. Suong.

Doctor Bach Thi Chinh, Medical Director of VNVC Vaccination System, said that with the strength of being the largest vaccination service center system in the city with 39 centers, nearly 2,000 doctors, nurses, medical staff, and a service capacity of up to tens of thousands of vaccinations per day, VNVC can also organize hundreds of mobile vaccination teams to schools and residential areas with the highest safety vaccination process.

Since its establishment, VNVC has standardized the quality of vaccination expertise at all centers nationwide to ensure safe and quality vaccination. Along with the cold vehicle system, VNVC is a pioneer in building and developing a large, high-quality cold storage network for vaccine preservation, with general cold storages in the three regions of North, Central and South, hundreds of central cold storages, cold transport vehicles, and specialized vaccine preservation cabinets - all of which are recognized as meeting international GSP standards.

VNVC's system can simultaneously store up to 400 million doses of vaccine at standard temperatures of 2-8 degrees Celsius, meeting the vaccination needs of tens of millions of customers and has the ability to store large quantities of all types of vaccines.

In addition to ensuring the quality of vaccine sources, VNVC focuses on training to improve the expertise of medical staff. 100% of doctors and nurses at VNC have safety certificates issued by the Ministry of Health. 100% of vaccination centers have full functional rooms, rooms for handling post-vaccination reactions, along with full medicine and emergency equipment such as anti-shock boxes, oxygen tanks, and teams that are regularly trained in first aid skills.

VNVC has invested heavily in a system of 4 general warehouses, nearly 200 cold storage warehouses for preserving vaccines that meet GSP international standards, along with strict quality control and monitoring systems.

According to VNVC, since Ho Chi Minh City announced the measles epidemic and many localities recorded cases, the number of adults and children receiving measles vaccines has increased. From September 1 to 14, Ho Chi Minh City alone saw a 300% increase in vaccinations compared to the same period last month. From September 1, 2024 to now, VNVC has safely vaccinated more than 30,000 doses of various types of measles vaccines to protect the health of children in Ho Chi Minh City.

Dr. Chinh said that currently, the system of nearly 200 vaccination centers nationwide and 39 centers in Ho Chi Minh City have all types of measles vaccines as well as other dangerous diseases in children and adults. VNVC also has combined measles-mumps-rubella vaccines including Priorix (Belgium) and MMR II (USA), improving the effectiveness of preventing many diseases in one injection and saving costs, reducing the number of vaccinations. These vaccines can be given to children from 9 months old and adults.

The vaccine used in the campaign is the measles-rubella vaccine (MRVAC) produced in Vietnam, the vaccine source is from the city budget and the Ministry of Health. The vaccination target is all children from 1-10 years old who have not received 2 doses of measles vaccine or have unknown vaccination history living in Ho Chi Minh City.

VNVC is applying many preferential price policies to help people prevent diseases in time, especially poor families and children in special circumstances. VNVC is also a pioneer vaccination unit supporting pre-vaccination packages, paying later for up to 12 months, with all interest rates supported by VNVC, helping people pay flexibly, reducing economic burden.
