On May 21, 2024, Vinmec Healthcare System announced that Vinmec Central Park International General Hospital has officially become the second member of the Cleveland Clinic Connected program in Vietnam. With 2 hospitals joining the world's leading healthcare system, Vinmec continues to affirm its international strategy to bring global treatment quality and standards right in Vietnam. Vinmec Central Park officially becomes a member of the world's top healthcare system Cleveland Clinic Connected.
With the goal of building a network of hospitals and medical organizations that share a common vision of the best quality of treatment and care for patients, Cleveland Clinic has initiated the Cleveland Clinic Connected System to meet the urgent need to improve the quality of the medical industry around the world, especially after the pandemic.
To join Cleveland Clinic Connected, member hospitals around the world must adhere to the program’s core principles of patient safety, quality of care, continuous improvement, and patient experience. The Cleveland Clinic delegation also directly assessed the implementation at Vinmec Central Park, interviewed each member of the hospital’s leadership team, and independently discussed with physicians, nurses, and patients undergoing treatment.
Prof. Dr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health, spoke at the signing ceremony on the afternoon of May 21. After joining, experts from Cleveland Clinic and Vinmec Central Park will collaborate in key specialties such as oncology, cardiology, neurology, etc. to evaluate current operations and consult on how to apply operational processes and expertise according to Cleveland Clinic standards. At the same time, experts will jointly implement initiatives to bring excellent healthcare services to local customers. Before Vinmec Central Park, Vinmec Times City became the second hospital in the world to join Cleveland Clinic Connected from January 2023. After more than a year of cooperation, Vinmec Times City has recorded significant improvements in Safety, Quality and Patient Experience (SQPE) by applying Cleveland Clinic's standard analysis and evaluation processes to detect and resolve the root causes of quality and safety issues.
