The 41st Ho Chi Minh City Press Awards Ceremony was organized by the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association and Ho Chi Minh City Television.
Attending the award ceremony were Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen; Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Tran Trong Dung and many leaders and officials of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
Reporting at the award ceremony, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association Duong Vu Thong said that this press award received 279 works from 18 press units in the preliminary round, of which 184 works were selected for the final round.

The final results included 5 First Prizes, 14 Second Prizes, 21 Third Prizes and 25 Encouragement Prizes spread across 4 types of journalism: print, electronic, radio and television; with 5 groups of genres including: News, press photos; Political commentary; Documentaries, reports, investigations, journalistic memoirs; Interviews, reports, quick notes; Collective works such as thematic pages in print, electronic newspapers, radio programs, television programs.
“The journalistic works participating in the award closely followed the theme of the award, truthfully reflecting the economic, political, cultural, social and other fields. The implementation and implementation of the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels into life clearly reflected the solidarity to overcome difficulties, promote sustainable economic development and build a civilized and happy society. Thereby promoting the construction of Ho Chi Minh City in the direction of a smart, dynamic, creative, humane and affectionate city... In particular, there were journalistic works promoting the implementation of Resolution 31-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of Ho Chi Minh City's development to 2030, with a vision to 2045", the Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association shared.
According to Mr. Duong Vu Thong, the works submitted for the award are relatively even in quality, with diverse and convincing forms of expression; many outstanding works have creative content and forms of expression, bringing about good effects and spreading widely in society. Many journalistic works are invested in elaborately, showing sharpness in writing, rich presentation, easy to read and easy to feel. Many works create good impressions, have clear orientation of public opinion, and are highly convincing in implementing the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels.
The award ceremony was attended by leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnam Journalists Association.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai praised and congratulated the team of journalists who have shown great affection and made many important contributions to the development of the city. Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai also suggested that in the coming time, the press must continue to promote its role as a sharp weapon, worthy of being the shock force on the ideological and cultural front, strengthening information and propaganda in an objective, accurate, complete and timely manner on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws. At the same time, it is necessary to do a good job of orienting public opinion, fighting against wrong and hostile views, especially wrong information on the internet and social networks.
