Advances in deep learning have ushered in a groundbreaking era of technological innovation, where machines can “learn” from massive amounts of data and achieve incredible accuracy in tasks such as image recognition, natural language processing, and decision making.

This achievement was made possible by the revolutionary contributions to neural networks and deep learning algorithms by Professor Geoff E. Hinton, Professor Yann LeCun, and Professor Yoshua Bengio. In addition, Mr. Jen-Hsun Huang pioneered the development of accelerated computing platforms, fueling the explosion of the modern AI (Artificial Intelligence) era. Professor Fei-Fei Li's creation of the ImageNet dataset also spurred advances in image recognition systems, enabling the training of deep learning models at scale.

The Head of Government also emphasized that Vietnam always pays special attention to science, technology and innovation, considering this an objective requirement, a strategic choice, a top priority and a national policy to promote rapid and sustainable development in the new era - the era of national prosperity and prosperity, as General Secretary To Lam has directed.

In the effort to "catch up, keep up, break through and surpass", Vietnam clearly identifies the special significance, prioritizes resources and focuses on perfecting institutions, mechanisms and policies for science and technology development, innovation, especially in emerging and especially important industries and fields such as digital transformation, green transformation, creative economy, semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, Internet of Things, etc.

The Prime Minister hopes that scientists, the business community, investors, international and domestic partners will continue to cooperate closely, support, assist and help more effectively so that Vietnam can continue to make breakthroughs in improving its scientific and technological capacity and innovation. In particular, focusing on building and perfecting institutions and policies with the viewpoint that "institutions are the breakthrough of breakthroughs", developing infrastructure systems, high-quality human resources, venture capital funds, mobilizing and effectively using all internal and external resources for science and technology, startups and innovation. Thereby, contributing to creating a breakthrough momentum, soon realizing and successfully implementing strategic goals: Striving to become a developing country with modern industry and high average income by 2030; becoming a developed country with high income by 2045.

The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for scientists, science, technology and innovation to shine and develop strongly. With the spirit of "harmonious benefits and shared risks", Vietnam always welcomes and encourages scientists, the business community and investors to realize their ideas, opportunities and investment projects in Vietnam.

Vietnam is committed to continuing to strongly improve the science, technology and innovation environment, always being a reliable partner, a loyal companion and making every effort to contribute to its role as one of the "fire-bearers" in developing the global science, technology, startup and innovation ecosystem.
