VinFast VF 9 certified for maximum operating range of 531 km in the US

VinFast VF 9 version exported to the US rolls out in Hai Phong

The EPA has just certified the travel distance after each full charge of the VinFast VF 9 electric car model at 330 miles, equivalent to 531 km (Eco version) and 291 miles, equivalent to 468 km (Plus version).

Vinfast VF9 has an EPA-certified driving range of 330 miles on a single charge for the Eco version and 291 miles for the Plus version. In the US, the VF 9 has a list price of $83,000 and $91,000 for the Eco and Plus versions, respectively.

The VinFast VF 9's travel range of 330 miles (equivalent to 531 km) can be considered a big step forward and shows a significant improvement of the Vietnamese car company in the US market. This number helps the SUV confidently compete with the "big guys" of electric cars.

The VinFast VF 9 electric SUV belongs to the E segment - the most premium segment in VinFast's complete electric vehicle range. The vehicle has dimensions of length, width, and height of 5,118 x 2,254 x 1,696 (mm), making it the largest model in the electric vehicle range that VinFast has introduced to the public.

Both versions of the VinFast VF 9 are equipped with an electric motor with a maximum capacity of up to 300 kW (402 horsepower), maximum torque of 620 Nm. These versions all use a full-time 2-wheel drive system. The battery system has an available capacity of 92 kWh.

In terms of features, the car integrates an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with some level 2 features, a suite of smart entertainment and utility applications (Smart Services).

In the US market, VinFast VF 9 applies a 10-year or 125,000-mile warranty policy for the vehicle and a 10-year unlimited-mileage warranty for the battery, with mobile repair and rescue services throughout the warranty period.

Currently, VinFast VF 9 has been delivered to customers in the Vietnamese market, is open for reservations globally and is expected to be delivered to buyers in the North American market from the fourth quarter of 2023.
