Continuing the tradition of "Discipline and Unity"

Việt NamViệt Nam11/11/2024

88 years ago, the historical event of the General Strike on November 12, 1936 of more than 30,000 miners with the spirit of solidarity "Discipline and Unity", under the leadership of the Party against the oppressive regime of French colonialism and its henchmen won a resounding victory. Through many historical stages of construction and development, generations of miners have always preserved and fostered the tradition of "Discipline and Unity", creating the endogenous strength of the Coal industry and workers in the Mining Area...

Throughout the history of the Coal Industry, generations of miners have contributed to the construction and development of coal mining sites, bringing machines deep underground to produce "black gold" for the Fatherland. During those difficult years, "Discipline and Unity" became the "red thread" throughout the construction and development process of the Coal Industry units. Currently, the Coal Industry is mining deeper and deeper, continuing to face the pressure of production costs, labor safety, and unpredictable natural disasters. However, every time the Coal Industry encounters difficulties and challenges, the spirit and tradition of "Discipline and Unity" of the workers is multiplied and highly promoted.

After more than ten years working in the mining industry, miner Dang Tuan Vu (Mining Workshop 12, Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company) has risen to become an exemplary worker with high income in the Group. Having worked in the mine for many years, Mr. Vu understands very well the hardships of miners. Despite facing many difficulties and challenges, in any position or task, he and his teammates unite to overcome difficulties.

Mr. Vu shared: Storm No. 3 disrupted work, affecting the lives of miners. Overcoming difficulties, we always promote the spirit of solidarity, work together to overcome the consequences, and quickly stabilize production after the storm. Mining work is quite hard, but we work in an environment with high organization and discipline, everyone has the opportunity to practice and strive to grow. Promoting the tradition of "Discipline and Unity", during the work process, we always maintain high concentration in every assigned task, no matter how small; ensure to make the most of useful time as well as pay attention to strictly implementing the processes, passports, and construction methods so that the products are made to standards, without having to do it over and over again. To ensure working days and labor productivity, I always learn and skillfully use new equipment and technology, and arrange work reasonably to achieve high productivity and good product quality.

For the miners of Hon Gai Coal Company, the tradition of "Discipline and Unity" has always been respected and promoted by generations regardless of the circumstances. Mr. Hoang Pho Buong, Head of Production Team No. 2, Workshop No. 1 - Giap Khau (Hon Gai Coal Company), shared: The tradition of "Discipline and Unity" has been passed on and followed by generations of miners, becoming a valuable lesson in solidarity, discipline and unity that our ancestors left for today's generation of miners. This is the key to help us overcome all difficulties and challenges, and complete the tasks assigned by the unit. Continuing to promote the tradition of "Discipline and Unity", we are constantly researching and proposing goals and plans to organize coal mining in the open pit with the lowest cost reduction, highest efficiency, and safety assurance in all production positions. At the same time, improving skills to meet the increasingly high specialization.

Through many historical periods, the tradition of "Discipline and Unity" has always been respected, preserved, promoted and nurtured by generations of officials and workers in the Coal industry to turn challenges into opportunities, especially in the current volatile and unpredictable economic period. This is the premise to help TKV break through and stabilize production and business in difficult times. In the first 10 months of 2024, the total revenue of the Group is estimated at more than 137,000 billion VND, reaching 102.5% over the same period last year; raw coal production of 30.66 million tons; excavation of soil and rock of 118.1 million m3 , tunnel excavation of 218,415m; consumption of 37.76 million tons of coal.

Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, General Director of TKV, said: In the context of the Coal industry facing many difficulties and challenges, more than ever, the fire of "Discipline and Unity" continues to be a great driving force and spiritual support, urging each officer and worker of the Coal industry to promote emulation in labor production, turning challenges into opportunities; stabilize and promote production; continue to affirm the position of the country's leading economic group. In the coming time, TKV will complete the model of "Coal production and trade"; at the same time, prioritize the development of circular economic models suitable for the business model and management organization of the Group.
