Recently, the General Department of Customs has sent a document to the Customs Departments of Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and the Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department; Department of International Cooperation on the implementation of the Campaign on drug prevention and control.
Previously, in 2023, Vietnam and Korea carried out a campaign on joint cooperation in preventing and combating illegal drug trafficking and requested to continue promoting international cooperation in the field of drug prevention and control.

The scope of the Drug Control, Prevention and Control Campaign covers all border routes, air routes, postal and express delivery routes.
In order to effectively implement the Campaign, the General Department of Customs assigns and requires units to proactively and actively coordinate and cooperate in implementing the Campaign.
The Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department is the leading unit advising leaders at all levels to coordinate Vietnam Customs units to coordinate with the Customs agencies of the two countries to jointly develop and organize training programs for control officers of the two customs enforcement agencies to share the most advanced control techniques and methods. These training programs help improve the professionalism of customs officers of the two countries and maximize the strength of international cooperation.
