On March 19, Ho Chi Minh City Police Department coordinated with the Department of Education and Training and the City Youth Union to organize the launching ceremony of the "School Tour" and "Uni Tour" models - Drug-free schools in the area.
Speaking at the event, Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police emphasized that although Ho Chi Minh City has implemented many programs, solutions and models to prevent drugs, the models "School Tour" and "Uni Tour" - Drug-free schools are the first time the city has implemented them, through a series of large-scale community-based activities, directly reaching students at high schools and universities in the area.
Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam said that students are easily tempted by negative factors outside of society, including drugs, especially when drugs are increasingly transforming into many sophisticated forms, easily infiltrating schools.
Therefore, “School Tour” and “Uni Tour” - Drug-free schools are a demonstration of the determination of Ho Chi Minh City Police together with agencies, departments, and socio-political organizations in the fight against drugs. At the same time, it affirms the role of education in protecting the younger generation from the dangers of this social evil.
On this occasion, Ho Chi Minh City Police for the first time deployed drug simulations and organized "mini games" to propagate the harmful effects of drugs in a visual and vivid way for students in the area.
