VNG Cloud, a cloud infrastructure solution provider under VNG Digital Business, has just officially launched Vietnam's first multi-regional cloud computing infrastructure in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
With a dedicated bandwidth speed of up to 50Gbps, this infrastructure allows for quick data backup and comparison, minimizing data latency between the North and South regions, helping to provide a seamless and smooth end-user experience.
Cross-regional cloud infrastructure also helps optimize costs, ensure connectivity, data availability for the system and improve data security nationwide.
According to Mr. Tran Anh Nhan, Director of Technology of VNG Cloud, this model is popular in the world, but in Vietnam, ensuring bandwidth, processing and synchronizing multi-regional data is a difficult problem.
“ The formation of a cross-regional cloud computing infrastructure is the basis for businesses in two regions with developed digital economies to access abundant computing resources, advanced cloud storage services, and low risks, helping them quickly transform digitally and develop multi-regional businesses, ” said Mr. Nhan.
In recent years, the cloud computing and digital transformation market has been growing strongly. According to a McKinsey report, the growth momentum comes from large enterprises being ready to move 60% of their working environment to cloud computing by 2025.
Mr. Nhan forecasts that by 2025-2026, the cloud computing market will continue to grow because businesses using international Cloud platforms will tend to shift to domestic Cloud platforms. This is both an opportunity and a challenge for domestic businesses as the demand for Cloud increases, meaning that the pressure on digital infrastructure will become increasingly greater.
