In recent days, many students at driving schools in the province have been very worried after receiving consecutive notices of postponement of driving license exams. Many students have come directly to the school to ask about the above issue but all received the answer: wait for the competent authority to handle the procedures according to regulations.
Having graduated from the A1 motorcycle driving training program at the Vietnam-Australia Vocational College of Transport and Construction (GT&XD), Mr. NVV from Phu Van Commune (Phu Ly City) is a student at the Hanoi University of Commerce and is waiting to take the test to be granted a driver's license. However, after many months of delay, the school has yet to organize the test for the student.
Mr. V. shared: I have come directly to the school many times to ask for a clear explanation for peace of mind, but the staff here only replied that they would call me when the authorities completed the procedures and were qualified for the exam. While I had paid the full tuition fee and the prolonged postponement of the exam had affected my travel...
Mr. TVK, who registered to learn to drive a car (B2 license), has completed the theory and practice and has passed the graduation exam, and is currently waiting to take the driving test. Mr. K. was upset: During my driving lessons, I registered to buy a car, but up to this point, I have already got the car but not the license, so the car has to be left there. We recommend that the authorities organize the driving test soon to ensure our rights...

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoan, Principal of the Viet-Uc Vocational College of Transport and Construction (Tien Tan Commune, Phu Ly City) said: Since August 2023, the suspension of driving tests in Ha Nam province has left 2,712 students of the unit untested. Of the 765 students learning to drive cars of all kinds, 304 have been granted vocational certificates and 461 students who failed from previous courses are waiting for testing. For students learning to drive motorbikes, there are 1,947 people, of which 339 have failed or are absent from previous courses, the remaining students already have vocational certificates waiting for testing to issue a driver's license. After the Department of Transport announced the suspension of driving tests from August 2023 to now, many students came to the school to ask questions and request the school to quickly arrange for students to take the test, but we can only answer that we are waiting.

According to the Department of Transport, Vehicle and Driver Management (Department of Transport), up to now, there are nearly 3,000 students waiting to take the driving test, concentrated at the Vietnam-Australia Vocational College of Transport and Construction and Ha Nam Vocational College. The suspension of the test is due to changes in the implementation of regulations on the use of testing fees according to the regulations of the Ministry of Finance.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dong, Head of the Department of Transport, Vehicle and Driver Management, said: According to the regulations of the Ministry of Finance, the use of testing fees has changed compared to before. To do this, it is necessary to organize a bidding for testing grounds, leading to lengthy implementation procedures that affect the testing time of students. The Ha Nam Department of Transport strives to complete the procedures for organizing testing for students before Tet.
