On the afternoon of June 4, Coach Mai Duc Chung announced the list of 28 players of the Vietnamese women's team who will go to Germany for training.

Why can't Huynh Nhu join the Vietnam women's team?

Will Huynh Nhu stay at Lank FC for another year?

Notably, striker Huynh Nhu will join the team late because she has to go to Portugal to work with Lank FC on contract issues.

According to many sources, the Vietnamese women's team captain may extend her contract with Lank FC for another year.

If she stays at the Portuguese team, Huynh Nhu will likely receive a salary increase and bonus.

Returning to the Vietnamese women's team, coach Mai Duc Chung has removed 5 players from the training list for the 2023 World Cup, including Tran Thi Thu Xuan, Cu Thi Huynh Nhu, Ngo Thi Hong Nhung, Le Thi Thuy Trang and Dinh Thi Thuy Dung.

As planned, on the morning of June 5, the whole team will move from Noi Bai airport (Hanoi) to Frankfurt airport (Germany).

During this training period, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will have friendly matches with Eintracht Frankfurt (June 10), Short Mainz (June 15) and the German women's team (June 24).

Besides, the girls in red will also compete with the Polish U23 women's team on June 21.

After the training trip in Germany, Huynh Nhu and her teammates will return home and continue training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center before moving to New Zealand on July 5.

In this final stage, the Vietnamese women's team will have friendly matches with New Zealand and Spain, before entering the journey at the 2023 World Cup.
