Tri An is an artificial lake located on the Dong Nai River, in Vinh Cuu, Dinh Quan, Thong Nhat and Trang Bom districts (Dong Nai) with an area of over 32,000 hectares.
Located about 70km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, Tri An Lake not only attracts tourists in the province but is also an attractive destination for thousands of young people from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong , Binh Phuoc to enjoy and have fun every weekend.
Especially in Vinh Cuu district, Tri An lake is adjacent to Dong Nai cultural nature reserve. The lake is thousands of hectares wide and the vast forests create an extremely poetic scene of "above the forest, below the lake".
Visitors here can experience activities such as SUP, cycling, jogging, fishing, kite flying, camping... as well as enjoy local specialties, especially seafood caught from Tri An Lake.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, experiential tourism has become popular and Tri An Lake has quickly become a favorite destination for young people. In the early days of April, the scorching heat was also the time when thousands of young people and families gathered at Tri An Lake to escape the heat.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Minh Thu (27 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City) said she really likes the wild scenery of Tri An Lake. She and her group of friends have been here many times. According to Ms. Thu, Tri An Lake is only more than an hour by motorbike from Ho Chi Minh City, and it is quite easy to get to. The cost of a trip here is quite affordable.
"What I like most is watching the red sun reflecting on the lake every afternoon. The scenery is so beautiful and peaceful. Every time I come back here, all the pressure and fatigue seem to disappear," Ms. Thu confided.
Like Thu, many young people from Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces also choose Tri An Lake to escape the heat and "heal" after a tiring week of work.
Leaving Vinh An town (Vinh Cuu district) follow Highway 767 to Hieu Liem, Ma Da and Phu Ly communes, the winding asphalt road, both sides of the road are still quite wild.
The large lake and cool forests are favorable conditions to attract tourists from the city to escape the heat every weekend.
In addition to lakeside tourism, visitors can also drive through the vast forest in Dong Nai Cultural Nature Reserve.
The road is dozens of kilometers long through the forest with rows of bright red bougainvillea along the road.
