At this meeting, parents and athletes of the national gymnastics team not only had a direct confrontation with athlete Pham Nhu Phuong, but were also confronted individually by specialized departments of the Department of Sports and Physical Training to ensure that the information provided would be kept confidential but still objective and honest.
Notably, at the meeting, athlete Pham Nhu Phuong continued to affirm that she would not change her decision to retire, although previously the leaders of the Department of Sports and Physical Training encouraged the athlete born in 2003 to continue to return to practice and compete to contribute her talent to Vietnamese sports.
Athlete Pham Nhu Phuong also expressed her wish to the leaders of the Department of Sports and Physical Training that after the Department completed checking her information related to the 10% deduction of her medal bonus as well as having to pay "strange funds" to the coach, the above amount will be returned to the athletes because it is the sweat and effort from their training efforts to get it.
In addition, after the meeting with the Department of Sports and Physical Training, tomorrow (January 24), athlete Pham Nhu Phuong will also have a working session with the Hanoi National Sports Training Center to compare books and documents to return the Sunday wages that she did not practice but still received over the past many years.
