Before, most of my time was spent on training and competing, so everything had to be in order. Now, I am more comfortable, have more time for my family and myself. With many outstanding achievements, why does Anh Vien still choose to continue studying? - I am currently studying for a master's degree at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports . I want to study more to gain knowledge and experience to share with everyone. In the future, I want to become a good coach like my teacher. On TikTok, Anh Vien is very famous for the saying "learning to swim is easy, Vien will show you". How do you go from being an athlete to a "million-view" content creator? - Creating content on TikTok is just a part of my current life, I determined that my main job is still a swimming teacher. When I retired, many friends encouraged me to build a channel to convey swimming skills to everyone, instead of just reaching out to students in class. Social networks are where I connect with people all over the country, who knows, someone might see my clip and want to learn to swim! To make the TikTok channel what it is today, I was lucky to receive support from my friends and classmates. They helped me come up with ideas, film clips and edit clips. However, our team is still "homegrown", doing whatever we have. The message I want to convey is also very simple, which is "learning to swim is easy, Vien will show you". I am very happy to be interested in everyone because I know that the content I convey reaches many people. Becoming a content creator requires Anh Vien to step out of the comfort zone of an athlete. Is this difficult for you? - Since retiring until now, I have not felt any difficulty or pressure on myself. My job is still related to swimming, just in a different role. Is the fact that Anh Vien's younger brother - "swimmer" Nguyen Quang Thuan (born in 2006) - continued his swimming career one of the reasons why you decided to retire? - I decided to stop my career because I felt I was getting old and had some other personal reasons. When my younger brother pursued the path of a professional athlete, I also supported and encouraged him as a senior. As an older sister in the family, I am very proud that my younger brother is an athlete on the national swimming team. I just advise my brother to try his best, and in addition to practicing sports, he must also improve his knowledge. Because when competing internationally, in addition to swimming well, he also needs to be confident in communicating and expressing himself in different aspects in front of international friends. Does Anh Vien think that his achievements will create a "big shadow" for his brother? - I don't think so. I always tell my brother to only look at his achievements as motivation and not to surpass them. I advise him to try his best so that he won't have any regrets later...

Before, I was an athlete so I had to work hard to practice. With that appearance, I felt healthy and fit. With my current appearance, I feel more confident to do the work I love. I'm very happy that everyone accepts my new look, but I'm always conscious of not letting the flashy outside affect my thinking and life. When beauty is more noticed, it means you have to accept compliments and criticisms. How does Anh Vien accept these things? - I don't care about appearance. I just think it needs to be appropriate for the places I go to, that's how I show respect to the guests attending. Honestly, when I attend luxury events, I feel a bit pressured. Every time I appear, I have to ask someone to do my makeup and advise me on suitable outfits. Has Anh Vien ever been self-conscious about her previous appearance? - Not to the point of being self-conscious, but at that time when I wore normal clothes, I was often commented as "big" (laughs). I'm a girl, so hearing that makes me a bit sad. But I always remember the encouragement from my teacher: "When you try to practice to stand on podium number 1 and receive a gold medal, that's what people will remember about you, not your appearance." Some people think that 28 years old is the right age to get married, but what about Anh Vien? - Regarding getting married, I think it will take 2-3 more years because I still haven't fulfilled my dream, which is to travel to all provinces and cities of Vietnam to inspire children in all parts of the country to learn to swim. In addition, I also dream of opening my own center to train young people to become swimmers like me... Currently, is Anh Vien under financial pressure? - I always believe that not everything you do has to focus on money, I believe that if you give, you will receive. My current job brings me a stable income, enough to live on. I always keep a cheerful spirit, not pressured by "food and money". I don't spend much, just 3 meals a day is enough. Luckily, my uncle gave me an apartment in Gia Hoa (Thu Duc City) so I can have a stable place to live. My parents still work and have their own finances, so they don't ask their children to be filial. They just want their children to be healthy and safe. My main job is in Ho Chi Minh City, so I will arrange to return to my hometown (Can Tho - PV) once every few months, or when my parents finish the harvest, they will come to the city to live with me.
